HOBBIES

SHOPPING
Ok, this is a big shock I know.  I mean, how many girls like to shop, right?  Well,
Kimber likes to shop.  Like most women, she's really good at it.  She's an excellent gift giver.  Always seems to pick out a gift that's perfect for the intended recipient.  I think that Christmas just got a whole lot easier for me.  Actually, I love to shop too, especially for clothes.  I consider myself to be a pretty good gift giver also.

SPORTS

Kimber loves baseball games.  She is a huge Cleveland Indians fan.  Here is a perfect place to give you an example of the gifts I give and my idea of a surprise.  Not long after we started dating, Kimber came to visit for her birthday.  I knew she liked baseball and bath/smell good products!  I also knew that she had hung me with the nickname or description Redneck Tiger (My nickname for her is Special K - with K being for Kimber).

So, on Thursday when she flew in, I picked her up and we came home to homemade chocolate dipped strawberries and cherries.  As we walked into the house, there on the floor sat a stuffed tiger of mine that I had dressed up like a redneck....hence a redneck tiger.

As you can see from the picture above, I put overalls from K-Mart kids department on the tiger, a straw hat that I turned the brim back on, a bandana in the right front pocket, a can of copenhagen in the left rear pocket, and a piece of straw in his mouth.  The tiger was holding a sign that said "Howdy Luvr!"  Kimber just died laughing when she saw it sitting there.  She LOVES that tiger!  It continues to be a running joke with us.  Guys, this is how you can be creative.  Just go with what you know.  Check out my photos and tips page for more helpful ideas and tips.

The next day, we went and picked up some dugout seat tickets to see a Friday night game between the Braves and the Phillies.  I had gotten these from a VERY GOOD friend of mine, Anne Easterling.  We were 12 rows from the field on the 3rd base side.  Although the Braves lost that game, we won the fight that broke out when the Phillies pitcher hit Javy Lopez.  Ryan Klesko was the greatest as he came all the way in from left field and proceeded to throw people off the ensuing pile.  One guy flew about 6 feet backwards.  Other interesting developments included people running on the field, a power outage and the ejections of John Smoltz (presumably for throwing at a batter), Bobby Cox for arguing, and Javy Lopez for fighting.  Kimber LOVED it...but it still was not over yet.

The day afterwards we went shopping and walking around at the mall.  That night, I cooked her dinner and we sat on the couch and watched a movie.  Before the movie, I gave her my last gift....a box of lotion and bath products from Bath and Bodyworks.  After she opened it, I went and got a basin of warm water and washed her feet.  After drying them, I used the Juniper body cream to give her a foot massage.  I think this weekend pretty much sealed the deal.  She was in LOVE with me.  I have to be more careful when I turn on the charm to keep from overwhelming her. <LOL>

Here is another picture of Kimber when she was in Spain visiting her good friend Betsy!

Here is a picture of the Catfish that Kimber caught out of my Parent's pond.
BIG ugly sucker isn't he?
