and recount one thing or event or
moment that stood out to you as memorable and full of emotion or
meaning.
We would love to know what you thought
and maybe get some insight into your perspective. This is really
important
to us and will help us remember
special moments. It doesn't have to actually be something that occurred
at
the rehearsal dinner, wedding or
reception. It could be from a shower or other type event.
We also would love to hear from visitors
to this website. If you have a question or thought,
please ask or share it with us.
This was one of the most important days of our lives and
we hope you will be able to share
in the experience with us. So look around,

The Bride and Groom Hi and Welcome to our Wedsite! We are very excited about our upcoming wedding and glad that you dropped by for a visit. Come on in, pull up a chair, kick off your shoes, get comfortable and stay awhile. There's a lot to read and see here, plus we could really use your help and input. Cookies, milk and some other refreshments are on the way. But first, let us introduce ourselves...... |
Believe it or not, we are another Internet Success Story! Actually, we give credit to God (rather than Machine) for bringing us together. We believe it was a miracle that 2 people whose lives, without God's providence, would have never crossed paths (Kimber lives in Washington, D.C. and I live in Atlanta, GA) should meet and fall in love. Read our story and judge for yourself. I'm sure you will agree that chance played no part in this miracle match. |

I have gotten many compliments on my method of proposing to Kimber. In fact, several ladies at The Bombay Store in Town Center Mall wanted to hire me to give their significant others some instruction on being creative and romantic. I promised them all free copies of my first book; the seminar they have to pay for <LOL>. In some ways, the proposal went perfectly; in other ways it did not. I know this a contradiction, but read on for the "FULL" story and you'll understand why. Also enjoy some of my other creative acts of romance. Some corny--some not, but ALL touching. |
The Bridal Party We all have people who are important in our lives and with whom we have forged special bonds through the years. Here you will find some of the people who are near and dear to our hearts and with whom we wanted to share this special day by making them a part of it. So now that you've met us, here is your chance to meet a few of the more interesting people in our lives. However, just remember that they are not the innocent angels they all appear to be, especially those on the Groom's side. |

Kimber and her family are from Erie, PA. She has been living in Washington, D.C. for over 2 years. I am from Valdosta, Georgia, and while the vast majority of my family still lives there, I now live in Atlanta. So, that gave us 4 different options for the wedding location. With my fingers crossed, I anxiously awaited word from Kimber about the location. And the word was.....ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA. DARN! My brother Myron convinced me that this was the way it should be, particularly since the Bride's parents pay for it. Kimber has thanked Myron greatly for his persuasiveness. Yeah....thanks, Myron! <LOL> |
The Wedding Ceremony Read about our planning of the actual wedding ceremony and how it progressed and changed over time. Look at photos depicting our elation :-) and our frustration ;-(. We have included information on the attire of the Bridal Party, various expenses for those planning a wedding, problems we encountered and how we dealt with them, and transcripts of a short play I wrote depicting love and marriage as acted out by a couple of Kimber's friends. We also will be including pictures and information on the ceremony after its conclusion, along with any wedding horror stories (of which we all know there will be). |

No wedding is complete without a registry. We have tried to make it as easy as possible on friends and family wanting to purchase gifts for us by registering at stores that are common to all locales or various stores in each locale and by including links to our online registries. Kimber and I welcome you to look at what we think are the perfect wedding gifts for us. However, we are not material people and would be just as pleased with your sincere congratulations and blessings. We are in the process of buying a house, one of our choices of which requires some work on our part to improve. Therefore, many of our gifts are geared toward this event. Thanks for you blessings and prayers! |
The Honeymoon (Woohoo!) THE HONEYMOON IS SET! That's right, our destination is settled. Kimber and I will be aboard the Celebrity Century for a 7 night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. They really came in handy. We booked through a really great agent who took care of everything. Check back with us after July for pictures and feedback on what we thought. If anyone out there has any cruise tips for us (since neither of us have ever been on a cruise), we would certainly appreciate your input. If you want more info about our cruise and where we are headed, check out this page for more information. Goodbye city....HELLO Sunshine! |
|
Don't forget to stop in and sign our guestbook. We would love to hear from each and every one who stops by. Thank you all for sharing in a piece our world and for sharing with us a piece of yours! Your hellos and good luck and best wishes really do mean a lot to us. Each one means another page in Kimber's little Wedding Album. May each and every one of your lives be filled with love and happiness, and the warmth and beauty that it brings, whether from the love of family, friends, or your soulmate. God's blessings on you all and may His love keep you and protect you. |
Check out miscellaneous photos and stories. I thought about calling this section "miscellaneous," but therewas nothing miscellaneous about us meeting, falling in love, and getting married. I could never characterize my wedding or any other as miscellaneous because of the magnitude and significance of the event. Monumental? Now that I could go along with. A bigger event I may never exeprience. I've also included some tips for the guys (you'll need them, guys, trust me). |
UPDATE>>>>>>UPDATE>>>>>>UPDATE
As you may know, Kimber is a school teacher (Kindergarten through 5th
grade). Just prior to our wedding,
Kimber was having a real tough time finding a job. Well, God
delivered yet again. After writing a letter to the AJC
that they actually published in a city of over 3 million, we got a
call from the Cobb County Human Resources Director.
She set Kimber up with interviews at 4 different schools on the spot.
She was extremely nice, apologetic and
very helpful. We are both VERY GRATEFUL to her for taking the
time to find my phone number and actually
call. We certainly need more people like Liz Cole. As it
turns out, one of the interviews was with Kennesaw
Elementary School Principal Mr. Shelton. Kimber called and spoke
to him on the phone and was immediately
impressed with him. Ultimately, the decision came down to 2 schools:
Keheely Elementary and Kennesaw Elementary.
It was a very tough decision as both schools and their principals were
OUTSTANDING. We decided to go with
Kennesaw Elementary because Principal Shelton and Kimber immediately
hit off and she felt very comfortable
working there. Mr. Shelton comes from a family of educators and
is very passionate about education. I've heard
many stories about him from Kimber and I am very impressed with his
professionalism and methods.
Kimber's been teaching now since the middle of August and she loves
it. She has a GREAT group of students
and they are eager to learn. Certainly, there are ups and downs,
but overall she's quite satisfied with where she is.
She's made friends with one of the other teachers who also is a newlywed
(within 2 weeks of our date) and
moved here from Jacksonville, Florida to join her husband. I've
met them both and they are a very nice couple.
I look forward to seeing them at the school Christmas Party in December.
